We don’t just mean cutting back on your holiday dinner consumption, either! During the holidays, you can reduce your environmental impact by reducing the amount of waste you generate at home, and you can recycle or repurpose many different things.
A great way to go green with your gift wrapping is by re-purposing outdated, unwanted, or unused paper products. These can include the Sunday comics pages from your local newspaper (excellent for a child’s birthday present), old calendar images, wallpaper scraps, or the ends of newsprint rolls, which you can get from a newspaper office.
You can even “re-gift” your gift wrap from previous years if you removed it from your own gifts without doing too much damage to the paper.
