Bacon is everywhere lately. Bacon flavored, bacon wrapped, and bacon covered foods are the new craze all over. Of course, beer has been around forever and the combination of these two items are a match made in heaven for some people.

If you are into bacon or brew or the two of them together, then you will definitely enjoy the San Mateo Bacon and Brew Festival.
But it is not all bacon and brew, vendors including Curbside Grill, Sam’s ChowderMobile and Mission Blue Confections will make an appearance. Music and food tasting will be at the festival as well as shows for kids.
This festival, in its second year, will be held on Sept. 27 at the Central Park Baseball Field in San Mateo. The field is located on the corner of 5th and El Camino Real.
Admission is $15 per person and includes an admission ticket to the festival and a free large beer, wine or soft drink. Kids 12 years old and under are free and no pets are allowed.
