Enjoy an Afternoon at San Mateo’s Coyote Point Park

August 27th, 2015

The Bay Area is the last place where anyone would want to stay inside all day. Moderate weather and fantastic scenery mean there are tons of things to do outside, especially for residents of our apartments in San Mateo near Coyote Point Park. Here’s a look at some of the things to see and do there when residents next have some free time.

Start out with regular park activities: picnics, walks, and playing catch. The park’s open spaces give way to tall eucalyptus groves; take a walk along the perimeter of the groves and think about the history those trees have seen.

For those who prefer hiking along trails, there are plenty of trails to choose from in the park. Those wishing to hike a longer distance will be able to transfer to the San Francisco Bay Trail within the park. Hobbyist target shooters can take advantage of a safe gun and rifle range within the park as well.

Prospective residents of our San Mateo apartments near Coyote Pointe Park can contact our office at 888 San Mateo. We’re looking forward to sharing helpful residential information.

Take Your Pup Over to the Seal Point Dog Park

August 4th, 2015

The smaller living quarters of an apartment will leave your pup with some pent up energy.  The Seal Point Dog Park, which is less than a ten minute drive from our San Mateo apartments, is the perfect place to let them release their energy.  With separate areas for big dogs and small dogs, your dog will find some new friends.  Here are some etiquette tips to remember while you’re at the dog park.

  • Always monitor: You should always keep an eye on your dog while in the play areas.  If your dog gets too rough with other dogs, you should put a stop to it immediately.
  • Clean up: It’s common courtesy to clean up after your dog goes to the bathroom.  Doing this will ensure that people won’t accidentally step on it and will keep the park smelling better.
  • Age limit: If your dog is less than four months old, you shouldn’t go to the dog park.  a puppy that is too young is usually not mature enough to handle interacting with several dogs at once.
