The San Mateo County Parks Foundation and Whole Foods Market proudly sponsor the Tour de Peninsula. For 23 years, riders have taken bicycle rides in San Mateo on routes through several county parks, enjoying the scenery, watching the boats, and listening to the music. This is a beautiful day in the sun, filled with activities for all ages:

Proceeds from this exciting event support the San Mateo County Parks system. These bicycle rides in San Mateo have generated millions of dollars since they began in 1998. Eucalyptus Picnic Area serves as home base for the event. Riders will be assigned to one of four categories based on ability. The Kids trail is two to six miles long, beginner is 20 miles, intermediate 31 miles, and advanced is 63 miles.
For this event, cheating is not cheating. That is, riders are encouraged to use short cuts if they are available. On the advanced trail, the Simon Says Shortcut will cut the distance to 56 miles.
Onsite registration is from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. at the Eucalyptus Picnic Area. Ride fees are $25 for young people 12 to 17 years old and $50 for adults until July 31. The fees then increase to $25 and $55 respectively, and you must register on site. Children under age 12 can participate free.

Scuba Fusion, located at 1210 South El Camino Real in the Monaco Shopping Plaza, is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 7 pm.
This store offers a variety of scuba diving programs here such as learning how to scuba dive for beginners and brushing up on established scuba skills for intermediate divers. Scuba Fusion also offers many specialty courses like a dry suit class, a digital underwater photography class, a rescue diver course, and more.
Scuba Fusion also features a number of dives to put those skills to use, including trips to the Philippines and Mexico.
Wallin’s Dive Center is located at West 20th Avenue and O’Farrell Street. This dive shop has a longstanding relationship with the community, having first opened its doors in 1967.
Locals can earn open water certification, take a refresher course, go to a free diving clinic, take a first aid and CPR course, explore a night diving class, and more. Local diving excursions and equipment repairs are also available.
Hours of operation are as follows: Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 to 8 pm and Saturday from 10:30 am to 2 pm.

It is difficult to imagine a more relaxing Sunday stroll than a tour of the Cantor Arts Center on the Stanford campus.
Marble statues created in 1891 guard the main entrance of the center. Strolling along the paths under huge shade trees, you will view an impressive number of works by Auguste Rodin and many other artists of renown.
No less than 20 bronze statues by Rodin grace the sculpture garden that bears his name. In the largest collection of his work outside of Paris, the Cantor Arts Center boasts three indoor galleries of his work, as well.
In the center of the campus, visitors will find Memorial Church with its own collection of mosaics and carved stone, illuminated by the glow of stained glass windows. More creations await in the Papua New Guinea Sculpture Garden. Magical creatures, people, and animals made of wood and stone bring a little touch of this fascinating land to the Stanford University arts in Palo Alto.
Some of the newer pieces in the gardens are Andy Goldsworthy’s Stone River, Miwok by Mark di Suvero, The Three Graces by Charles Finnever, and Beverly Pepper’s Bedford Sentinels.
The sculpture gardens on the Stanford campus are always open. Free walking tours take place on the first Sunday of each month at 2 pm.
The Main Quad entrance on Serra is the starting point. If walking without the benefit of a guide, be sure to pick up or print out a copy of the Guide to Sculptures map.
