Dogs seem to have boundless energy and get plenty of benefits from sniffing around, exploring, and spending time outdoors. One way to take exercise your dogs is at the dog parks in San Mateo.
- Tails wag in excitement at Shoreline Park, located at 1701 J Hart Clinton Drive, approximately three miles from 888 San Mateo Apartments. This park has an off-leash play area for small dogs and one for large dogs. Dogs can explore this three-acre space anytime between 6 am and sunset.
- Bayside-Joinville Park has an enclosed area for dogs that is open daily from 6 am until 10 pm.
- Beresford Park has an off-leash area, Chanteloup Field, which is open Monday through Friday from 6 am until 8 am.
- Central Park also allows dogs off-leash on Fitzgerald Field. Dogs are welcome Monday through Friday, anytime between 6 am and 8 am.
- Los Prados Park has a fenced-in area that is open daily from 6 am until 10 pm.
