Here are a few tips to help you bathe your pup at the San Mateo Dog Wash.

  • Before throwing your dog into some water, get them used to the idea of a bath first. Gradually introduce the water until they are comfortable getting wet.
  • Protect your dogs ears. Water in the ears can be very annoying for a dog, so try to avoid getting water directly in their ears. Wash the ears with your hands and not scoop water.
  • Wash your dog from the neck downwards. This will bring the dirt away from their faces and will spread it downward and away. This is the most effective way to get your dog clean.
