The eco-friendly apartments in San Mateo is one example of a community that has been build with the environment in mind. It started at the foundation. A infill location was choosing while clever and well thought trough architectural design was used to minimize material waste. Another aspect that minimized building waste was to recycle it on site and to utilize it as well. Sustainable materials were carefully selected with the limited use of natural resources like gas and water in mind during the construction period but as well afterwards.

Inside, low-low flow fixtures were installed, the electrical appliances are ENERGY STAR that have a low carbon footprint and the landscaping consist of drought-tolerant plants that needs minimal water.
Due to this building method, 888 San Mateo were proud to receive the Platinum level of certification for LEED for homes in 2014.
Furthermore, residence at the apartments can enjoy a club room, fitness center, yoga and Pilates studio, billiards as well as a country lounge area.
